Strado is a fresh, new, architectural practice, underpinned by many years of experience. We specialise in Commercial, Student and Supported Accommodation, and all things Residential!
Design, for us, is more than just bricks and mortar – it starts with people.
People are at the very heart of every project for, every home, every workplace, every community. Understanding their individuality and diversities, and how their space needs to function for them, as a family or as a business, therefore, is critical.
Every design needs to reflect these unique properties, being truly bespoke to really work.
We start with an initial, no obligation consultation to determine your practical needs and to listen to your aspirations. Give us your wish list and we will do our best, using our many years of experience, and professional partnerships with other consultants and suppliers, not just to realise your dreams, but to go one step beyond.
Our initial chat can be in our architecture studio (good coffee a speciality), in your home or on site, to suit you.
We always carry a sketchbook, which enables us to help clients to easily envisage, there and then, what is achievable.
This can be so beneficial for both refurbishment, and new build projects. Some of our most complex schemes using the most sophisticated technology have started life as a simple sketch concept.
In the initial consultation we can also advise you on the architectural services we can provide for you; the design process; costs you are likely to incur and potential timescales.

Dave Duvall – Director
Dave Duvall is an experienced, award-winning, RIBA Chartered Architect - born and bred in the fair City of Liverpool. Qualifying as a Architect in 1983, and becoming a Director of his own business in 1995, Dave has gone on to develop a wealth of experience, specialising in diverse residential and commercial projects across the City and further afield from Aberdeen to Plymouth, and beyond!
If you are familiar with Liverpool you may have driven past some of the projects he has worked on such as Jack Jones House, in Islington, and the Royal Quay at the Kings Dock.
It goes without saying that he is passionate about the aesthetic – that’s a given! However that passion also extends to embracing the power of architecture to really make a difference in terms of lifestyle opportunities for his clients. Simply put, the impact of design in changing lives.
Years of experience have taught him what works best.

Dave has never been one to sit on his laurels, however, and is always seeking new ideas and innovations.
He continues to pride himself on having his finger on the ‘technological pulse’, being an early adopter and promoter of collaborative working using Revit and other technology. By default, this maximises efficiency, helping to ensure a right first time approach, saving time and better controlling costs.
Dave’s contribution was recognised in 2018 by the Local Authority Building Control North West, who awarded him the accolade of
"LABC North West Construction Professional of the Year 2018."
