The Old Science Classroom was a challenging refurbishment project in a conservation area of Liverpool City Centre. The completed project successfully delivered high specification student accommodation, whilst also applying with strict statutory restrictions.  The final design succeeded in preserving and enhancing the architectural heritage of the Grade II listed building, whilst also maximising commercial return for the Developer.

A key contributory factor was close and ongoing relationships with various professionals including Liverpool Building Control and the Conservation Officer.

The project achieved recognition with two silver awards for its contribution to architectural heritage and conservation.
